Carolina Sarria’s collection intersects art, fashion design, social commentary and sustainability. Each piece is rich and layered; wearable collage art that is a distinctive blend of free-hand illustration and found materials. Her work challenges societal values by illuminating counter-cultures, such as the punk movement, street culture and Latino inner-city style, and elevating them to high fashion while simultaneously offering an alternative to gender norms with her unisex clothing and choices of models.
“My work is an extension of who I am: a non-conformist. I imagine each collection as an opportunity to look at different social issues in a new light with each piece as a canvas; a unique work of art that champions individualistic expression.”
